Lukoil is among the world’ s largest oil companies, with 150, 000 employees in 30 countries. In 2005, Lukoil’ s sales were $ 55.8 billion.
Lukoil has the world’ s second largest oil reserves, and is the sixth largest oil producer. The company controls about 1.3% of the world’ s oil reserves and 2.1% of its oil production.
In 2002, Lukoil became the first Russian company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company’ s strategic partner is ConocoPhillips in the United States, which owns 18.7 per cent of Lukoil’ s shares.
All together, Lukoil has nearly 6, 000 service stations in Russia, Europe and the United States. The company owns almost 2, 200 petrol stations in Europe, and nearly 2, 000 in the United States.
Lubricant production in the Lukoil Group is handled by its subsidiary LLK-International.
